Time for an update! Some things: -Graduation is impending, and I'm working my tail off to finish my portfolio in time. Stay tuned to see if that actually happens and if I maintain sanity in the process. -I finally figured out the direction I'm going as an illustrator! Huzzah! (It's children's and young adult fantasy books, btw) -I'm actually good at the above! -In the next few weeks to a month, I'll be uploading all the pieces in my senior portfolio, so it's going to be quite a busy month. -New prints are up and available for purchase! Small sizes are ridiculously cheap, so you have no excuses if something strikes your fancy. -And fina

I really have no idea if anyone reads these, but now feels like a good time to update things.... Starting with the positive:  I've finally, after nearly 4 years of art school, begun to figure out my preferred illustration process. In other words, my stuff is starting to look like it belongs together! Huzzah! Definitely a huge relief with my senior show coming up in 6 months. I discovered I'm graduating sooner than expected, so it's time to put on the big girl undies and get my work out there. My awesome best friend is getting married to an equally awesome gentleman next summer, and that coupled with my impending graduation means I feel OLD. T

Huzzah! Summer begins with a bang! ...Unfortunately it was only the sound of my mother's car (driven by me) hitting a suicidal Bambi. $1700 later....the car should be back in order. I hope. Gotta love summers spent at home in deer-infested southern Illinois. Also as my attempts at employment seem to have failed, it's time to break out the sketchbook and stave off boredom for the next 3 months. Bleah. As much as I enjoy the break from all-nighter artfests, I kind of wish I had professors down here to beat me into drawing more when there's not a deadline hanging over my head. Things to work on... And since when am I a senior??? Only one more y
